Senior Manager, Administration

Job Description

 The Role.

 Based in Saskatoon, this position presents an excellent opportunity for a dynamic senior manager.   Reporting to the COO & President, the Senior Manager of Administration (SMA) develops and implements tactical plans and operational goals for Administrative Services, leads and manages a team of administrative professionals and has oversight for companywide administrative functions.  This position plays a critical role in the delivery of Suncorp’s brand promise.  It falls to the Senior Manager of Administration to effectively manage the completion of quality, on-time reports within the constraints of a high volume, fast-paced environment.

 A key focus of this role is management and coordination of administrative staff, with a focus on developing cohesive team practices and operationalizing the new performance management program.  As part of the leadership group, the incumbent works closely with other managers to ensure that administrative services are meeting stakeholder needs and that efficiencies are improving to support revenues and profit plans.  In addition the role provides input into corporate programs and the development of strategic plans.

The Requirements.


  • Degree or Diploma in Administration, Business or related field.

  • Eight or more years of progressively responsible management experience.  

  • Five years in a senior leadership role.

  • Excellent track record of building and inspiring strong teams.

  • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels.

  • Extensive administration experience and expertise with MS Office products. 

  • Proven experience with computer technology and general business procedures.

  • Background in a service-based organization with a strong customer service focus preferred.

  • Bondable with a criminal background check.
